Bowl of Changes

I really do love love the changes in season and what it brings with it. For example, since I have moved to the east coast I was able to enjoy my first true fall with the beautiful colored foliage and trees and experienced a real winter that included two blizzards. With spring I am enjoying spending time in the garden growing my own herbs, seeing the birds playing in the yard and watching the trees bloom once again but what I truly have waited with anticipation are the STRAWBERRIES and what follows next are Summer fruits, outside bbq and picnics along with mosquitoes, spiders, bugs and flies:)

Spring in DC

Last weekend was the first day I really enjoyed the feeling of Spring finally arriving. All the trees are showing signs of life and the smell in the air seemed so crisp and clean.

The past 2 weekends we have headed towards DC and have been to the Museum of Natural History. My god their is so much to see and do.
I really love this city so far.

I wish we could live a little closer to be able to go every weekend. I guess 35 minutes is not that bad but the parking is the killer.

It was so crowded for a Sunday afternoon.

Here we are in the Butterfly Pavillion.

After strolling through the museum we went to the Marina, I can't remember what it's called but they sell fresh fish and have some restaurants too. We ate at Philip's where they had an all you can eat buffet it was so-so but could of been better for the price.

This was a perfect afternoon celebrating Spring and enjoying being outside.

Friday Finds

I have been missing all month, I really hate how time goes by so quickly. I have been busy working on a few large orders which have kept me away from everything. Almost done with one order today and it's off to Belgium. Yeah!
I just wanted to post some of my favorite finds I found this week. Aren't these adorable? Here is the tutorial on making this cute banner.
I really love making my mandarin pineapple cake and would love this mold from William Sonoma. I am so tempted to buy it just because it's too cute.
I have said it so many times but I really need my sewing machine to make these pillowcases and so many other sewing projects that I have seen. One of these days I should have it.
Well I better start making dinner and get ready to watch this movie. I know I will need a tissue once I watch because even the commercials give me a lump in my throat for some reason.

PS. Their is a giveaway for the peep bunt. Go here to enter.

Monday Afternoon

This was the last moon of February and it was just amazing creating a beautiful night. 3 more weeks and it will officially be spring. Yeah!!!!!!! Finally feeling inspired and having less issues with my back, I started working on new items for the shop which will also include the comeback of my plastic little hairclip sets. Those will start appearing sometime at the end of next week.

On another note I am more than half way done with the granny squares and should be done soon.

I have finished crocheting the slouchy beret that I mentioned here and didn't like how it looks on me. Maybe the yarn is too thick. Who knows..... I also received a copy of Crochet Today and my little one wants a crochet birdy which I already did but need the filling. It is a great magazine, the instructions are so simple and it's very retro inspiring.

I leave you with my latest treasure.
Happy March 1st
